I never heard of "Inflammatory Breast Cancer" until I was diagnosed with it 2 years ago; it is a rare (1%-5%) very aggressive type of BC that begins at Stage 3 & Stage 4, and it is often missed or not always seen as tumors on mammograms. (BUT) it can be a VISUAL TYPE OF CANCER that presents via noticeable breast symptoms: swollen breast; reddish "fisherman's netting" pattern on some parts of the breast; "orange peal pitting" skin on the breast, where you can visually see the skin's pores like you can see the "dimples or pores" on an orange peel skin. This is a very fast-moving, aggressive type of breast cancer that can be mistaken for other benign breast problems. PLEASE! Do not ignore ANY breast symptoms no matter what your age. Time is vital in saving lives if you/someone you know gets diagnosed with IBC.
